1950s Virtual tour

The cultural life of the 1950s have been characterized by the rise and seduction of popular fads, including pink Cadillac, rock-in roll, blue jazz, swag pants, music featuring the Mills Brothers, Frank Sinatra, and Johnnie Ra. As rock in roll became teens' top choice for such great entertainment, like Sam Cooke, James Brown. and Elvis Presley with a refined blue jazz sound of black music. Jazz emerged in its prominence including hard-pop and cool jazz. The 1950s era is characterized by all of the above popular fads that have benefited mainly teenagers in transforming their lives toward more of self-independent style, which had caused conflicting relationships between teens and parents. Since teens had desired and became so close to rock in roll that it would make most parents restrict their teens from listening to rock music or even in school, teens were not allowed to dress down or chat with girls on such topics of hanging out or dancing on rock jazz. That burden on teens have widened the conflict and teens had grew on their love on rock in roll since it became that symbol of freedom and joy.

The cultural life was relevant to the cold war, since the world in the aftermath of WWII had witnessed the post-communism fear, decolonization in Africa and south-east Asia, where nations in Africa and Asia had gained independence through major European powers, mainly United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Spain, and Germany. As the war in Korea intensified with American forces leading the way with allies in defending the south from the communist north. As American involvement in the 1950s had reflected the desire of the typical American to seek top priorities for the nation's security through implementing security measures to keep in the stability of Americans, as teens seek to adjust to their own lifestyles and families' flexibility to put more watch into their teens' lives.

The cultural life of the 1950s included such profound issues, such as the nuclear threats of post-communism states and the development of the first hydrogen bomb by the U.S with the first and dynamic nuclear test ever conducted on its soil. The nuclear matter had fueled regions around the world, mainly Europe, Asia, Soviet Union, and China, where all nations had been backed by powerful communist forces equipped with dangerous ranges capable of man-kind destruction. The nuclear race had been influential in modern days understanding and formulation of such nuclear safety standards and development of nuclear energy. Overlapping with the nuclear matter is the space race that has begun since the successful launch of the Soviet's Sputnik 1 that orbited the earth. The U.S had later established the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to oversea exploration research, and development of space fleets. The correlation between Sputnik and NASA had deepened with the U.S more successful launches of such space vehicles and satellites. The economical and social ramifications would include the notion of brinkmanship that have enabled for modern's nuclear insecurity and trust among the developing world, industrialized one, and the emerged.
